Analysis

Pittman has slowed after a strong start this season. While he impressed many with his agility for his large frame, he has been unable to do the same in conference play. On offense, he has shown a nice touch around the basket and some good moves to go with it. He has had trouble when doubled in the post, either shuffling his feet or missing the open man. On defense, Pittman uses his size well. He does a good job forcing offensive players out of the post, but he has shown problems defending smaller, quicker post players. His stamina is the largest question, having played only a little more than 20 minutes per game this season. In order to be an effective NBA player, he either needs to get a bit lighter, or to become more of a high energy player when he is out on the court.
