Strengths: That’s right, another Kentucky seven-footer. In limited playing time with the Kentucky carousel, Johnson showed great promise while using his impressive size. He uses his strength well to get good scoring and rebounding position. He loves to involve his teammates as an unselfish passer, and is a solid shot-blocker to compliment all that.
Weaknesses: His position as a role player in college will likely limit Johnson’s ceiling as a pro. Although he will certainly help a team with his size and rebounding, his offensive game is not nearly good enough to gain major minutes. Johnson also lacks the athletic ability to compete heavily at the next level. He will certainly help a team, but he is not someone who NBA teams will rave about.
