Corrigan's Gambling Corner: Best Bets in College Football, NBA, College Basketball - Nov. 10, 2021

Hello, and welcome back to the gambling corner. Today, we have the best bet for college basketball, the NBA, and college football.

As college basketball starts to ramp up, so will the number of picks that I give out. I want to wait and get a feel of these teams before I start going crazy with the number of picks. Until then, we will take it slow, and we will only pick winners.

College Basketball

Buffalo Bulls at Michigan Wolverines

Michigan fell one game short of a trip to the Final Four, but they will be returning their best player. After winning the Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season, Sophomore center Hunter Dickinson will once again be crucial for Michigan's success this year.

Dickinson led the Wolverines in scoring at 14.1, and he also grabbed 7.5 rebounds with 1.4 blocks per game. While Michigan will ride their big man all season long, he is hardly the only talented player on the roster. Eli Brooks is the only other returning starter from last season, but Michigan added Coastal Carolina guard DeVante' Jones and two five-star prospects in Caleb Houstan and Moussa Diabate.

Michigan has the combo of veteran experience and unreal freshman talent. I have no doubt they will be among the best in the Big Ten, and the country this season. However, Buffalo is a tough team. The Bulls were one of the best shooting teams in the country last season, and they added two transfers in Maceo Jack and Ty Perry.

I like Buffalo a lot, but Michigan is extremely loaded again this season. It is not a hot take to say that Buffalo will easily win the MAC. The number opened at 18, but it has been bet down to 12.5 on FanDuel. If you do choose to bet on this game, and you want to ride with Michigan, take this number up to 14.

We will get a better read of these teams as the season goes on, but for now, we are going with talent over potential.

Pick: Michigan -12.5 (-106)

College Football

Toledo Rockets at Bowling Green Falcons

Remember when Bowling Green went on the road and beat Minnesota? Since then, the Falcons are 1-4 and have lost those four games by an average of 15.2. While their offense is scoring just under 30 points in their last five games, they do not have a reliable offensive line, and the receiver room lacks a true "just get him the ball" type of guy.

While Tyrone Broden has had a breakout season, there are just not enough horses on the Bowling Green offense. The good news is that Toledo's offensive line ranks 123rd in sack rate and the Bowling Green defense is 19th in the country in sack percentage (8.7%).

While Bowling Green is 7-2 ATS in their last nine, I do not trust this offense, and I do not trust the Toledo offense. Toledo is certainly the most talented team on the field, but at 10.5, I am staying away from the number. Instead, we will turn to the total.

The total has gone under in seven of the last 10 matchups between these two teams, so we will ride with the under.

Pick: UNDER 49.5 (-112)

Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers

Both teams are coming into this game extremely banged up. The Cavs will be without Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen due to health and safety protocols, and Collin Sexton will be out for a long time with a meniscus tear. There are rumors that Isaac Okoro could make his return tonight, and if he does, the Cavs are going to be in a good position.

The Wizards will be without Thomas BryantRui Hachimura, and Davis Bertans. The Wizards have been without Hachimura all season due to personal reasons, but he is expected to rejoin the team in the coming weeks.

Washington has the best player on the court in this game with Bradley Beal, and he is a big reason why the Wizards are a road favorite. On the season, Beal is averaging 24.2 points, 5.4 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and he is shooting 43% from the field. Alongside Beal, the Wizards have an excellent roster filled with quality players, especially those players they got in the Russell Westbrook trade.

However, the Cavs' young roster has seemingly taken a massive leap to start this season. Darius GarlandEvan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen have really turned the Cavs into one of the most fun teams to watch. Currently, the Cavs are on a 5-0 run ATS, and they are 8-3 ATS for the entire season. Washington has covered in four of their last five against Cleveland, but this is a different team, and the Cavs will cover tonight as a home dog.

Pick: Cavs +3.5 (-114)
