Griffin agreed to a buyout with the Detroit Pistons on Friday.
Griffin is the latest star to join the Nets, following Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden. He'll also reunite with his former Clippers teammate DeAndre Jordan in Brooklyn.
Griffin originally signed a five-year, $171.2 million contract with the Clippers in 2017 before being traded to the Pistons.
Since then, he's toiled away in the Motor City. He averaged just 12.3 points in 20 games with Detroit this season.
