Matchup Preview
Freddy Peralta is back to posting the elite strikeout numbers he did in 2021. He took a brief hiatus from these punchout numbers in 2022, which bled into the early part of this season, but now ranks in the 97th percentile in K% and 94th percentile in CSW%. He has an insane 41.2% K% and 2.03 FIP in his last nine starts, surpassing this line in seven of those outings.
St. Louis isn’t the most strikeout-prone team, but the same could be said for Miami and San Diego. Peralta struck out nine batters in both of those matchups. A big reason for this run has been the increase in changeup usage. Pairing that with an already-lethal four-seamer and slider duo has made Freddy borderline unhittable.
Pick: Freddy Peralta over 6.5 strikeouts (-115 DraftKings)
