No 1 Kentucky Wildcats vs. No 23 MSU Bulldogs Betting Preview TUE NCAAB

Kentucky (26-1) is gunning for a #1 seed in the Big Dance and they are THEhottest team in the country and they suffered their only loss way back onDecember 10th. Mississippi State (19-8) is still ranked, as of Monday, but theBulldogs are playing themselves on the bubble since they have lost 3 straight. However, if they can beat the top-ranked Wildcats at home in this SEC gamethey should get in the NCAA tournament. The Bulldogs are 2-2 facing rankedteams this season and this game is their last shot to beat a team in the top 25.

In their last games Kentucky had no problems beating Mississippi by 15 pointswhile MSU lost to Auburn 65-55.

This season neither team has been a good betting one on the season withKentucky at 10-15-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 9-16-1 and MSU is 11-15ATS with an Over/Under record of 14-12.

Mississippi State will have to play good defense on the one of the best forward/guard duos of F Anthony Davis (13.9 ppg 9.7 rpg) and G Doron Lamb (13.8 ppg),who has been playing great averaging 17 ppg in his last 4 games.

One key for the Bulldogs in this game on defense is to make the Wildcats maketough shots, as UK likes to move the ball and get shots near the bucket and theyrank 15th in the nation in team FG%.

MSU must get a good scoring and rebounding game from 6’11” C Arnett Moultrie(16.5 ppg 10.8 rpg). He is THE big gun for the Bulldogs, but in his last 2 gameshe has struggled with his shot and will need to get on track for this HUGE SECgame.

2nd leading scorer Dee Bost (15.8 ppg) and Rodney Hood (11.1 ppg) givethe Bulldogs a legit backcourt and these guys can really help Moultrie out byshooting the rock well from the outside and also getting the rock to their big guy. Both can shoot the 3 well and if they can knock down some open shots thenmaybe MSU can snap their losing streak.

UK has a great G/F duo, a solid frontcourt, and they are one of the most athleticteams in the nation and MSU may have to play their best game of the season towin and avoid going under .500 in SEC play.

Kentucky is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 gamesoverall, and they have an Under record of 10-1 in their last 11 road games.

MSU is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall, 2-6 ATS in their last 8 homegames, and they have an Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 games facing a teamwith a winning S.U. record. The Underdog has covered the spread in 6 of the last 7 gamesbetween these 2 teams, but that trend will not continue for this game, as UK willwin the game and cover the spread.
